New Life Ministries and New Life Community Church was given by the Holy Spirit to Lloyd A. Coaker, Jr. almost a decade or more ago.  At the age of 13 in middle school, Lloyd first heard the voice of God speak to him concerning his calling to the ministry.  He was a former Catholic altar boy who got saved in a conservative Baptist Church then went to a Pentecostal Assembly.  He has since served in many Churches and ministries as a psalmist and praise and worship teams as a singer and as a leader.  He has worked in audio cassette tape ministries and provided radio and television announcing for several of those ministries.  He has also taught Sunday school.  He has a unique anointing in the area of apostolic teaching, and in praise and worship and special music as well as a gospel disc jockey.  In 1995, he received a prophetic word, among many, which confirmed what he already knew to be his purpose and destiny before the foundations of the world.  The prophecy detailed that he was commissioned to rebuild what he thinks the Church is.  He is to rebuild it from the bottom, sides, doors and windows.  Also God will give him a revelation of sons and daughters, making a family of God and not some organization.  Lloyd A. Coaker, Jr. was born on the lovely island of St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and is currently working on his Master's of Science degree in Education.  His long term goal is to obtain his Doctorate degree in Theology.  He and his wife Mitzi A. Coaker have one daughter Jaime M. Coaker.  They presently live in Chicago, Illinois.  Both Lloyd and Mitzi were faithful members of City Church International formerly known as Living Word Ministries International where Pastor Anthony Earl is the senior leader.  Lloyd A. Coaker, Jr. is the Pastor of New Life Community Church and hosts a weekly television broadcast called "Life in the Word", which can be seen to more than 385 thousand households on CAN-TV Channel 36 cable on Saturday mornings at 7:00 am in Chicago, Illinois.  For more information on ministry material and resources, newsletters or speaking engagements please visit our contact page.   

We are a non-denominational Word of Faith ministry and local Church with a local, national and international vision.  The major thrust of this ministry is to the west-side of Chicago and its suburbs, the Caribbean and the World.  We are committed to empowering believers to recognize, receive and reach all God has in store for them.  Our main focus is on prayer, praise and worship, the Word of God and doing the works of Him who sent us.  The purpose of the Church is found in Matthew 16:18, which reads, And I say unto you, that you are Peter and upon this rock of revelation I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.  God has raised this young man and his ministry to declare to the principalities and the powers that young men will dream dreams and old men will see visions.  The time has come for the Body of Christ to restore to the Government of God what is rightfully theirs.
